(Photo by Microsoft Office Clipart) ~~ I think I'm writing this tonight more because I need to hear it for myself....Don't give up. It has a warm, encouraging sound to it full of hope and support as well as strength and empowerment. I think we all need to hear these words from time to time, especially when we're weary from the challenges.
“Most of the important things in the world have been accomplished by people who have kept on trying when there seemed to be no hope at all.”
I had one of those funky days when I felt I had taken 5 steps backward for every step taken forward. I know it's only momentary and it happens when I get caught up in the drama of everyday life and have forgotten how to be present. It seems like we want to take on the problems of the world all by ourselves and do the work that is not ours to do. In times like this, I need only remember who I am and feel the essence....not only just remember who I am but who we all are. That then begins to put it all back into place.
(Holy Bible KJV Matthew 6:25 and 27-29)~~ Jesus said:
"Therefore I say unto you, "Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?"
"Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?"
"And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin;"
"And yet I say unto you, that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these."
That has always been such a beautiful passage to me, “Consider the lilies of the field how they grow...”, one which helps me to remember to surrender those things which I have no control over, to be thankful with what I've been blessed and to use the gifts I've been given to shine light where ever I can.
It's important to remember the things that count when you need a lift, when you need to hear the words, "Don't give up", because you are loved. "You are loved!" I feel loved and I am encouraged when I hear these words. I hope you are too.

Hi Pat,
I like this post and how you included scripture. Too often we look at the things/problems of the World and try to play God. It's pretty silly to think we can, as He has a plan for everyone and we all just have to be patient as it unfolds.

Scripture seems to really tell it like it is sometimes. You're right about having a plan for everyone. The trick is in letting Him work the plan.

We humans are conditioned to move away from discomfort and difficulties.
The release will be when I learn to sit with it and feel it through without becoming attached to it anymore.
It's the learning that these challenges in life are what they are and work through them but they aren't who I am.

The thought by Dale Carnegie is very uplifting. This post itself is inspiring.
I totally agree with your view that we should be happy with what we have and who we are and we should recognize thing that we can do because there are so many things that we have ability to do. But some of us don't understand the opportunity in our hand and rather search for the one which we should work many times hard to get.

I had forgotten all about that bible verse even though a few days ago I looked out of my window at these birds who were happily chirping and had thought of it then

You're right. It seems like we make it so much harder than it should be. We have been given so many opportunities and gifts and talents and we're off searching elsewhere.
I think a lot of it has to do with not fully being plugged into being in the present moment and recognizing who we truly are. We're chasing the wind.
I am hopeful that humanity is moving in a direction where we will be awakened to all the possibilities available to us.

Yes, I am better and through the writing of the post it also reminded me how much I'm loved.
We all need to hear, "I love you", and feel it's genuine which that scripture expresses.
